Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Raleigh, NC)

Lumen Bridge Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Raleigh. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
