Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Raleigh, NC)

Rivermark Iron Auto Group Partners is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for warranty claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around parts orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
