Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Portland, OR)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Union Inspection Services Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
