Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Pittsburgh, PA)

Clearpath Kestrel Financial is a financial-services company in Pittsburgh. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 524 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
