Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Pike Community Partners and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 103 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client intake, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client intake.
