Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Phoenix, AZ)

Ironwood Keystone Care Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Phoenix, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
