Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Orlando, FL)

Ironwood Linden Legal Group is a Orlando practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with intake forms. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
