Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Orlando, FL)

Stonegate Banking Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for fraud alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with fraud alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
