Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Orlando, FL)

Clearpath Lantern Construction is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 121 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around permits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
