Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Northwind Corner Auto Group Partners and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 134 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
