Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Oklahoma City, OK)

Nova Hollow Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Oklahoma City. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to carrier rates, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
