Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Oklahoma City, OK)

Silverline Yarrow Arts Center is an arts centre in Oklahoma City with a full calendar of events, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to volunteer programmes, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around ticketing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oklahoma City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
