Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Oakland, CA)

Clearpath Linden Health is a healthcare provider in Oakland with clinics and support teams. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with patient education. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
