Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Milwaukee, WI)

Silverline Nest Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Milwaukee, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
