Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Memphis, TN)

Highbridge Juniper Facilities Group cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Memphis, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
