Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Memphis, TN)

Lumen Rook Manufacturing Group manufactures parts and assemblies at its Memphis plant. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
