Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Memphis, TN)

Ironwood Drift Banking Services is a regional lender in Memphis with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loan files.
