Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Memphis, TN)

We are growing our team at Nova Oak Banking Services Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 873 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with fraud alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
