Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Memphis, TN)

We are growing our team at Redstone Iron Auto Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
