Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Louisville, KY)

Cedar Quarry Energy Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
