Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Louisville, KY)

Clearpath West Energy is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
