Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Knoxville, TN)

Lumen Bridge Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Knoxville focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
