Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Jackson, MS)

Greenridge Vale Pharma Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for clinical studies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
