Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Hartford, CT)

Redstone Haven Medical Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 762 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with production lots. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
