Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Fox Pharma and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with clinical studies. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
