Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Dallas, TX)

Lumen Meridian Care Services provides in-home and community support in Dallas. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 581 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
