Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Columbus, OH)

Silverline Field Staffing places workers with employers around Columbus. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to candidate screening, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with candidate screening. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
