Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cleveland, OH)

Bluepeak Rowan Foods Group is a Cleveland food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
