Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cleveland, OH)

Harborlight Granite Pharma develops and makes medicines in Cleveland, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around clinical studies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with batch records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Cleveland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
