Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Buffalo, NY)

Ironwood Fox Learning Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for learning materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Families are partners. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
