Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Stonegate Bright Markets Group is a Boise retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with online orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
