Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Bluepeak Sparrow Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Boise. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to seasonal crews, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with seasonal crews. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Boise. • We reply to every applicant.
