Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Summit Haven Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Boise. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 159 people based in Boise. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Track costs around student accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
