Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Nova Meridian Health is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Boise. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with insurance authorisations.
