Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Clearpath Granite Press is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for proofing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proofing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
