Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Bluepeak Iron Construction is a Boise contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 68 people based in Boise. What you will do • Track costs around safety records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Boise. • We reply to every applicant.
