Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Austin, TX)

Ironwood River Staffing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Austin. What you will do • Track costs around temp assignments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
