Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Albuquerque, NM)

Bright Bridge Energy Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around hardship programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to usage data, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
