Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Albuquerque, NM)

Silverline Ashton Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Albuquerque, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 132 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
