Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Tucson, AZ)

Nova Corner Auto Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for vehicle inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 780 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with vehicle inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
