Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Tucson, AZ)

Ironwood Linden Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Tucson plant. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around sanitation schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
