Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Tampa, FL)

Redstone River Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Tampa region. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with vehicle inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
