Senior Accountant - fixed assets (St. Louis, MO)

Stonegate Bridge Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near St. Louis, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 153 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
