Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Spokane, WA)

Bluepeak Rook Press is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around paper stock against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
