Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Rook Manufacturing Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
