Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Seattle, WA)

Stonegate Sparrow Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Track costs around survey data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ridership counts, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
