Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Ivory Freight and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around loads and lanes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to dock schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
