Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Seattle, WA)

Northwind Hollow Energy Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for service connections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service connections, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
