Senior Accountant - fixed assets (San Diego, CA)

Silverline Auto Group is a San Diego company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with parts orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
