Senior Accountant - fixed assets (San Antonio, TX)

Greenridge Yarrow Telecom Group is a telecommunications provider in San Antonio focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 114 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
